ASEAN CONFERENCE ON PEACE AND THE PREVENTION OF VIOLENT EXTREMISM, September 22-23, 2017 at PICC. The Philippine Center for Islam and Democracy (PCID) and the ASEAN Society of the Philippines (ASP), in partnership with the Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process (OPAPP) and the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS), convened more than four hundred (400) Southeast Asia civil society leaders from the sectors of women, youth, business, politics, academe, and the religious in Manila, Philippines for the Conference on Peace and the Prevention of Violent Extremism in Southeast Asia to discuss how to strengthen peace-building and prevent violent extremism.
