Lt. Gen. Benjamin Mohammad Dolorfino (Ret.)
Biography
LT. GEN. BENJAMIN MOHAMMAD DOLORFINO (RET.) is a convenor of the Philippine Center for Islam and Democracy. He is also a Trustee of the Magbassa Kita Foundation, Inc. (MKFI).
A career military officer, he rose up through the ranks to become the Commander of the Western Mindanao Command (Westmincom) of the Armed Forces of the Philippines from 2009 to 2010. Before that, he was designated as commandant of the Philippine Marine Corps as well as Commander of the AFP National Capital Region Command. He was co-chair of the Ad hoc Joint Action Group (AHJAG) representing the Philippine Government. The AHJAG is a coordinative body tasked to coordinate, monitor and disseminate information between and among the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) on the one hand, and the MILF and its Bangsamoro Islamic Armed Forces (BIAF), on the other, to effect the apprehension and arrest of the suspected criminal elements within communities/areas with considerable MILF concentration (“MILF areas/communities”).
