The Philippine Center for Islam and Democracy (PCID) is a non-stock, non-profit organization dedicated to the study of Islamic and democratic thought, working towards a just and inclusive peace, equitable and sustainable development, genuine democracy and autonomy for the Bangsamoro and Muslims in the Philippines, respecting human rights.
A PCID Project: She Talks Peace podcast
She Talks Peace is a podcast that highlights the role of women peacebuilders around the world in bringing lasting peace and security to their communities. Hosted by Amina Rasul Bernardo, President of the Philippine Center for Islam and Democracy, and Dina Zaman, a Malaysian journalist and co-founder of IMAN Research.
The podcast is part of the global campaign “We Stand by Women Peacebuilders”, initiated by the Women’s Alliance for Security Leadership (WASL) and the International Civil Society Action Network (ICAN). The campaign aims to promote the role of peacebuilders and lobby for greater support. It is part of PCID’s work on promoting women’s full and effective participation in decision-making, in peace processes and peacebuilding, and strengthening resiliency of communities against violent extremism, “She Talks Peace” episodes feature subject matter experts and advocates, and are designed to stimulate discussion on vital issues that confront our society. It is available on Spotify and Apple podcasts as well as other streaming platforms,
These are the tasks/responsibilities:
- Promote & post the show/video of the podcast on websites, FB, Instagram and other social media
- Create teasers and promotional materials for the show
- Edit the video/audio
- Livestream a show on Facebook
- Summarize the discussions of each show
- Upload the show/video to relevant channels and websites
Skills/Knowledge that we’re looking for:
- Good communication, writing and organizational skills
- Skills in social media,
- Strong computer and research skills.
- Must be able to adhere to deadlines
- Must be able to multitask and prioritize tasks sufficiently while working independently.
- Prospective interns must LOVE listening to podcasts.
