On August 11-12, the Philippine Center for Islam and Democracy organized a two-day planning workshop titled, “The Role of Muslim Women in Building Community Resiliency” held at Microtel by Wyndham, UP Technohub. The event was attended by Muslim women Ustadzas, Madrasah teachers, and Noorus Salam members from Luzon and Mindanao respectively. The planning workshop was a resounding success with participants producing action plans that will be used to strengthen the role of women in peace building and in the prevention of violent extremism.
