NewsWomen’s Alliance for Security Leadership (WASL) Shares Advocacy with PCID

 

WASL is working on a project funded by the Dutch government focused on the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand. It is aimed to know P/CVE initiatives done on the ground—how women are working in the community regarding cultural engagement and peace-building. The group tried to look on how women are working with the international and local government—if their voices are included, whether they are speaking with policy-makers, what are the challenges to understand women’s role. The group is working on a series of consultations in Southeast Asia and they have Philippines is their first stop. As a deliverable towards the end of the consultation, they are looking at  regional dialogues to share messages across.
